Words do not acquire meaning only through dictionary definitions. Their force also depends on where they appear, which concepts surround them and how they operate within a particular field. Socioplastics names this relational condition Topolexical Sovereignty.

The term describes the capacity of a knowledge system to establish the positional meaning of its vocabulary. A concept becomes legible through its relations, recurrences, citations and location within the wider corpus. Its definition is neither completely autonomous nor externally imposed; it is produced through the topology of the field.

This approach offers an alternative to the semantic flattening common to digital search and automated text processing. Rather than treating related words as interchangeable, it preserves the distinctions created by context, history and conceptual proximity.
